SUBMIT YOUR FILM TO LUNAFEST KNOXVILLE

LUNAFEST Knoxville accepts film submissions from August 15 - September 28th. From Knoxville's amateur filmmakers, to film students, to aspiring indie stars, we look for filmmakers and producers from Knoxville and the surrounding area with unique films that are by, for, or about women.  Submit an entry form online at www.lunafestknoxville.com, or tell a filmmaker friend about the festival!

PRIZES

If your film is chosen by our LUNAFEST Knoxville Judges as a winning film, LUNAFEST Knoxville will award ?. Additionally, if your film is the grand prize winner it will be shown at the LUNAFEST Knoxville Film Festival in Knoxville, TN on October 6th, 2009, at the Square Room in Market Square.

FILM FORMAT

• Films accepted can be shorts, documentaries, fiction or narratives.
• Films should not exceed 10 minutes.
• Each entry must be submitted online.
• With each entry, you just:

1. Register as a user at lunfestknoxville.com
2. Submit an online entry form
   
3. Upload your film for voting (all films must be on YouTube or Google Video already)
4. Pay your $5 application fee by check or money order made out to The Restoration House. If you'd like to pay by credit card you can do so directly online by cicking here (if paying online make sure and select Film Contest Entry Fee).  All entries fees go directly to the Breast Cancer Fund and The Restoration House, the benefiting organizations.

All films must be submitted online by September 28th

OUR WINNING FILMS

• The winning film will be shown on DVD format and will not be returned. The films will be shown at the LUNAFEST Knoxville Film Festival in Knoxville, TN on October 6th, 2009.
• Festival copies of the winning film and a press packet must be received no later than October 5th, 2009.

JUDGING
All films will be judge by online voting. So get the word out to your family and friends to go to lunafestknoxville.com and register to vote on your film.  Registering to vote is free.  The top 3 films voted for online will then be judged by LUNAFEST Knoxville Board of Advisors, a group of key film industry professionals and leaders of community organizations. Criteria include creativity, content and how the film fits the "by, for, and about women". A woman must be a lead member of the production team to be eligible.

ELGIBILITY AND LICENSE
Each film entrant agrees that by submitting an entry to LUNAFEST Knoxville, LUNAFEST Knoxville is granted, without compensation to the entrant and without any further approval or review, a non-exclusive, royalty free license to (1) show the entry at The LUNAFEST Knoxville event, and (2) use the name, picture, likeness and information about the entrant and the entry and its actors for advertising and publicity purposes in connection with The LUNAFEST Knoxville event, whether utilized in print or electronic media, television, video, film, radio, internet or other media.
